Induction Creative Brief - Evaluation

 Magazine Cover Evaluation

I personally think my magazine cover went well, and turned out the way I hoped it would. At first I found it quite difficult to find a dominant image for the cover which was both big enough and suitable for the main focus - a student magazine. I soon found an image from the college website which was suitable and fit the template well, meaning I could fit y cover lines around it. I chose to use the image I did as I think it shows the college in a positive light.

I'm happy with how my cover lines turned out, since they fit the theme after I took inspiration from the college website. I chose to take ideas from the website as it appeals to my target audience - students, therefore it will interest them. Furthermore, I chose to add a splash promoting a giveaway relating to The Bridges since things like vouchers appeal to students.

I think if I were to do this task again, I would improve by changing the layout of my front cover and maybe adding sub images as well as a dominant image. As well as this, perhaps I could've given my cover lines more depth and detail.

To conclude, I think my magazine cover was effective since it stuck to the creative brief and would appeal to a student through its cover lines, splash, etc.
